The Brief

A 25-metre lap pool in an occupied inner-city residential complex. The interior was faded. The surrounds were dated. The committee wanted it done properly — on time, within a live building, to a standard residents would be proud of.

New interior surface
Full strip and reline. Fresh, durable, designed to hold its appearance.
Over 100m² of new tiling
Surrounds, coping, and waterline retiled throughout. Consistent, contemporary finish across the full facility.
Wading shelf
A shallow entry ledge added at the near end. Turns the pool edge into a usable social space.
Underwater LED lighting
Warm turquoise glow at dusk. Visible across the complex. Transforms the space after dark.
New large-format paving
Stone-look tiles across the full pool deck.
New pool fencing
Black aluminium vertical bar fencing. Compliant. Clean.
Works were sequenced around the building's occupied schedule. The committee received regular written updates throughout. No surprises.
